I’m Sophie, the founder of Trees.
I came up with the idea the way a lot of ideas are thought of - backpacking in nature.
As I hiked through all 5 major climate zones admiring the incredible beings around me, I wanted to create something inspired by this beauty, something that could ground us, slow us down.
For me, trees are the greatest reminder of this.
They truly grow together. They communicate, share resources, and support one another through their underground networks. They can live for thousands of years, rooted in the same place while the world changes around them.
The more I learn about them, the more I think: maybe we should be more like trees.
So I made something to remind us to grow together.
Trees is a slow-fashion brand inspired by, well, trees. Our garments are designed to get better with age - gathering stories just like we do.
Every step is done slowly with local artisans, and I’m currently hand-dyeing each pair myself. Everything we make is meant to feel good, last a long time, and bring you a little closer to the natural world.
When you put on your Trees, maybe take a breath. Feel your feet on the ground. Look outside.
And maybe remember that we can grow together too.
